JNAH follows a double-blind peer-review process. Manuscripts passing the initial editorial screening are reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.

Reviewer recommendations assist the editorial decision-making process; however, the final decision regarding publication rests solely with the Editor-in-Chief.
